Rajaji Wildlife Tourism
Rajaji National Park spread over an area of 820 sq. kms., the park with
its magnificent ecosystem, is nestled in the shivalik ranges. It represents
the flora of several zones of the forest, reverine, broad leaf mixed forest,
chrpined forest, scrub land and grassy pasture lands.
There are 23 species of mammal and 3185 of avi- fauna here. The Rajaji National
park is named after late shri C. Rajgopalachai, popularly known as Rajaji.

Tourist Season : Nov. 15 to June 15 .
How to Get There
By Air: Nearest airport is Jolly Grant, dehradun, 24 kms.
By Rail: Railheads are, Haridwar and Dehradun.
By Road: The Park is 220 kms. from delhi and 510 kms. form Lucknow.
Main Attractions
Herd of Elephants, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Himalayan Yellow Throated Marten,
Sambhar, Cheetal, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Slothy Bear, Langoor, Goral,
Monitori Lizard, Python, Civet and King Cobra.
Birds: Pea Fowl, Jungle fowl, Kaleej Phaeasant, Horn-Bill, Wood Pecker,
Thrushes , King Fisher, Parakeet, Warbler, Barbet finch, Indian Roller,
Oriole, etc.
And several species of migratory birds in winter season.
