Bhutan Valley Tour

Phobjika - Paro
On arrival at the Paro International Airport, you will be received
by our representative with the warm welcome and transferred to the Hotel.
After Dinner overnight in the hotel.
Day 02 : Paro
On the 2nd day of the tour we will get up early in the morning. We will
have Suja (local chai), which is popular in Bhutan. After that we will take
nature walk in the vast rice fields spread all over the Paro valley. We
will enchant with farmers working in the fields. We can see the small children
wandering barefooted in the fields.We will surprised to know that all the
farmhouses have sane structural pattern. Than after breakfast we will start
our journey from the National Museum, housed in the Ta Dzong. Here we will
get glimpse of the rich culture and heritage of the Kingdom. Than as we
walk downhill, we will reach the dominating Paro Dzong, which is the finest
example of Bhutanese historic architecture. From the Dzong, we will pass
through the Nyamai Zampa, a traditional cantilever bridge. Here hot lunch
will be served to us. After lunch we will move towards the town temple,
where we will view the ancient wall paintings. Afterwards we will hike up
to view one of the Bhutans most amazing monuments, the Taktsang Goemba,
commonly known as the Tigers Nest. The four-hour trek
offers spectacular views of this sacred monastery perched on a cliff face
900m above the valley floor. In the evening we will explore the markets
of Bhutan and shop for the traditional Bhutanese mask, hand made knives
and jewelery items. After shopping we get back to the hotel for the overnight
stay.
Day 03 : Paro - Thimphu
3rd day is the most adventurous day of the tour. We will first of take breakfast
and leave for Thimphu in the morning. The road to Thimphu winds itself through
some of the most fascinating views. As Thimphu is set in the heart of the
Himalayas, so we can easily store the amazing pictures in our cameras. First
of all we will visit the National library, which holds a vast collection
of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts, some dating back several hundred
years, as well as modern academic books mainly on Himalayan culture and
religion. After exploring library we will head towards the Institute for
Zorig Chusum (commonly known as Painting School) where students learn the
traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. Than comes the National Memorial
Chorten on our tour package. The building of this landmark was envisaged
by the third king, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, as a monument to world
peace and prosperity. The paintings and statues inside the monument provide
a deep insight Into Buddhist philosophy. In the evening we will visit the
weekly local market and experience the ambience of the vegetable bazar.
We will purchase the diverse collection of stamps from the Thimphu.We will
pass also kill some time by wandering through the town of Thimphu. We will
come across the heap of bright red chillies. We will witness the weaving
of hand woven textiles, wood carving and the production of tailor made clothing
in the local market. After the day long excursion we move back to the hotel
for the overnight stay.
Day 04 : Thimpu - Punakha
After morning nature walk we will leave for Punakha from Thimphu. On the
way we will witness the mesmerizing pine forests and will get the finer
view of the mountains. We will spot the Blue Sheep and snow leopards in
the forests. We will drive along the herds of the yaks. After sometime we
will reach Punakha Dzong, which lies at the confluence of the Pho chu (male
river) and Mo chu (female river). Experience how Bhutanese are deeply rooted
in traditions and values. After that we will age old masks and folks dance
performed by the local people. In the evening we will spend time at leisure.
Overnight in the hotel at Punakha.
Day 05 : Punakha - Wangdiphodrang
On the 5th day of the tour we will after breakfast we will make a village
visit to Wangdiphodrang. Here we get to learn about the simple life of the
villagers. We will converse with them in the traditional Bhutanese language.
We will taste the popular yak cheese. We will notice the traditional floral
designs of the houses made in the villages. We will also witness the production
of products made of bamboo suuch as bows, arrows, baskets, drinks containers,
utensils, musical instruments, fences and mats. We will take the bicycling
tour of the village. After that we will take we will have dinner with typically
Bhutanese family. We will spend night in the hotel in Wangdiphodrang.
Day 06 : Wangdiphodrang Phobjikha
From Wangdiphodrang we will make a small visit to the beautiful valley of
Phobjika on the 6th day of the tour. We can notice the Black Necked Cranes
common in this area. For the full day we will be taking the sightseeing
tour of the Phobjika valley. Overnight sdtay in the hotel.
Day 07 : Paro Departure
7th is the last day of the tour, after breakfast our executive will escort
you to the Paro International Airport for the onward journey.
